It’s been awhile for sure, but I had the best weekend of my life. It was 3 days that honestly did not have 1 problem. On a side note, I gave up on Gatchaman. The series is “meh” at the most. I guess it’s because I’m used to an anime series that’s a little more modern and has a plot that requires you to follow it. Gatchaman is new almost every episode besides Galactor trying to control the world.

Korean Best Moe Quarterfinals- Taiga vs. Hinagiku
Result:
Taiga (Toradora) 1379, Hinagiku (HnG) 1349
-
Taiga for champion! She has a good shot at becoming champion as she eliminates former runner-up Hinagiku in a close match by 30 points. Go Taiga!
-
Next matchup: Azusa (K-ON!) vs. Ui (K-ON!)
Pick: Azusa Prediction: Azusa
It’s 100% guaranteed that a K-ON! character will represent the top 4, but which one? Of course I’m going for Azu-nyan always. Besides, she is one of the main five while Ui is more of a side character, no offense. This matchup would’ve been more epic if Mio was here against Azu-nyan.
Not likely, but I’m hoping for a Taiga vs. Azu-nyan final, but my prediction says Yuki vs. Horo. Too early to tell.

Episode 25 is go!
Here it is, episode 25! Saki, Mai, and the gang head to the beach for a day of grueling forced labor and groaner puns at the hands of the Hoshino family. Oh yeah, and they get to fight against an Uzainaa formed from Toshirou Hitsugaya’s Bankai. Sadly, no swimsuit fanservice — it’s just not that kind of a show, guys.
Torrent.
Progress on other episodes:
2-9: OCRing complete, need to edit and fix timing
10-17: Still need to OCR
18-24: need to fix timing for DVD raws
26: Translating
27 and beyond: who knows???
Once again, refer to the recruiting post — if you can help, especially with timing, you can make these releases faster for everyone.

As multimédias
É tocante e a animação é excelente.

Irritou-me. Ele não é bom não senhor. É um pança-mole, nabo. Não sei se gostei do filme. De certeza que não gostei do personagem.
Nendoroid Nankyoku Sakura Review (Penguin Musume Heart)
Haven’t done a proper full Figure Review for a while, so here goes one for Nendoroid Nankyoku Sakura from GoodSmile Company ^_^
Sakura is from the Anime Series Penguin Musume Heart. I really didn’t think much of this series at first, it was more a download because I was bored and had nothing else to do at the time. I’m glad I did though, it was a gem ^_^. I love comedies that are just so stupid, it’s funny ^_^;;. I’ll go over the first few minutes of the opener to give you an idea of what kind of anime this is…
The series starts with an otaku in a dark room watching anime. An imouto character promptly scolds the otaku and advises her that she will be late too school. Not only that but delivers this evil line, “Sebastion, please dispose of anything that is related to anime.”
Nooooooooo! Sebastion don’t do it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Cut to school. Pink-haired Tsundere Etorofu-san is nominated to be Class President by her (Yandere?) friend Nene-san. Etorofu-san is less than enthused by the idea.
Suddenly!
(They seem to love Camel-toes in this Anime o_O;;)
A girl wearing strange “attire” shows up to class!
That would be my reaction too ^_^
The girl promptly realises she is still in her pyjamas. (Nekomimi and Sukumizu count as pyjamas? LOL)
The girl is introduced as a new student, Nankyoku Sakura (too bad she gets changed into something more normal ^_^;;)
Maybe Etorofu-san is disappointed as well…
Sakura reveals herself as an otaku who loves to cosplay characters in anime ^_^
Etorofu-san is bemoaning that she just doesn’t understand otaku… when Sakura spies her and immediately declares her as “Takanoko-chan!”
Sakura explains who Takenoko-chan is. Basically a loli heroine with one of the most ridiculous costumes I have ever seen…
Etorofu-san looks exactly like her!!! Well, maybe only the eyebrows! ^_^;;
Apparently in the Takenoko-chan anime’s end, she is eaten by an old man. Innuendo much? LOL
But it’s OK because Takenoko-chan returns in Takenoko-shan R!
Sakura finds out about the vote to become Class President. She promptly decides that she wants to be Class President so that she can force Etorofu-san into cosplaying as Takenoko-chan LOL
Sakura decides her intentions by quickly transforming …
Woops! Wrong Costume! LOL Yes, despite this being a comedy, they repeatedly show Sakura in her birthday suit…
She sure did pull the wrong thing…
Anyways! If you haven’t seen this anime yet, I do recommend it. Especially if you like my brand of humour (Otherwise you wouldn’t be here on my site, yes? ^_^). I hope that teaser was enough to convince you to download and watch it. It gets a lot more crazy and funnier than this, I might add…
But back to the review! Although I’m not a so much a fan of Nendoroids, than Figmas, I usually get them when the urge to buy strikes, and especially if it’s a character I like
Sakura is definitely one of my favourite characters. I do like air-headed, bubbly funny bishoujos ^_^
I’m probably bi-polar in the fact I like comedy so much, but also like dark depressing stuff… lately I’ve been writing comedy bubbly stuff, it’s about time I returned to my darker roots…
Sakura goes all out on the fetish stuff. She would be the ideal otaku girlfriend imo ^_^;;
Her design is pretty awesome. Schoolgirl, crazy, ahoge, nekomimi hair, massive chest, frequently goes nude for no reason at all, indestrucible (she’s frequently the target of violence from Etorofu-sans awesome punches, but is none the worse for wear)
Definitely a winner of a character.
I forgot to take rear shots, but Sakura’s tail of her hair is articulated ^_^
Sakura’s other face. Might be my favourite face…
Definitely a contender for Nendoroid funniest face
For some reason, they also included her miner hat and pick from the opener mining sequence. The hat is AWESOME and fits many other Nendoroids
The mining sequence is prettty damn random. But that’s what I like about this anime. They’re not afraid to be stupid
Removable Ahoge is a plus. At least it won’t be easy to break this way when transporting her around. Although the main reason you can remove it so you can put her helmet on
Angry face. You know I can’t remember when Sakura actually became angry in the anime ^_^;;
She actually looks scary! Kowai!
Now for more kawaii shots with the damn awesome hat
Hat is win
But hat with V-sign is even more WIN
And now time for what you’ve all been waiting for. Time for the “Ace” Part of this review!
I wonder… am I the only one sick enough to do Nendoroid Yuri? If not, I demand pix LOL!
ANYWAYS… in conclusion Sakura-chan is so kyutto that even the lovely Yoko cannot resist her. Sakura gets a solid 9 out of 10 from me…
This might be my last full Figure Review in a while … like I said in an earlier post, I’ll have a forced leave of absence next week because I’m off to the Philippine! However there still might be a few posts before I leave, depending if I pack in time… for now Ja Matta! ~Ace

Aegis
Having not looked at a figure in a good while now i dont really know how to review or what to say about them, to be honest i just prefer the actual photography of the figures themselves so id rather let my pictures do the talking, unless i can think of something to blab about c:
In case you dont know Ageis is from the game PERSONA3 and this figure’s made by Kotobukiya.
I bought her with wifey at a local Manga/Comic book Store, one thing i noticed is that its so easy to take a good photo of her XD
I never took a picture of it, but the base for Aegis is hollow and you can store all the spare pieces you get with her. You dont get many but hey some is better than none right? I love the details on her mechanical parts!
Those who are familar with PERSONA3 will know all about Aegis’ gun hands, and they come with the figure too, theyre actually really well done as well. I just wish you could move her around more though D:
Maybe will have to wait for the figma version?
Aaaah im terrible with taking pictures of the whole figure itself, i really need to work on it more LOL
If you have any questions about Aegis though, just ask away!

Synopsis:
“Life is so dull. I just wish one day something amazing would happen that would change my life forever.” is probably what 75% of the worlds population is thinking right about now. Well, so is 16 year old Tomokazu Mikuri, moaning and complaining about his upcoming birthday and to top it all off he doesn’t even have a girlfriend. After his usual boring day Tomokazu drifts off to sleep but ends up having a very bizarre dream where he wakes up in some bizarre world in which he sees a young girl fighting some unknown enemy. However, the mystery girl takes a hit and falls from the sky landing in Tomokazu’s arms which seems to give the young lady a second wind and with an enthusiastic “MONE!” (pronounced by her as, MOE-NEH) and a smile, she attacks her enemy again and utterly defeats it. When Tomokazu wakes from his strange dream he tries to decipher his vision he soon realizes that he’s not alone as the dream girl is lying next to him in bed and greets him with a “Mone!” Oh yeah, Tomokazu got his birthday wish alright as life will never be dull again.

Review:
Ah, harem comedy animes… I never get tired of them. A bunch of cute girls, some doof, and a brainless comedy routine that will make you laugh or at the very least smile in some way or another and Yumeria is no different. But Yumeria does try to stand out a little by using a somewhat uncommon group of girls, 2 lolis, 2 buxom curvaceous teens, and a milf, now… before you say “Lolis? Oh yeah, bring this on!” I gotta tell you straight up that the story that brings everyone together falls a little on the idiotic side of things. So much to the fact that this series feels like it almost didn’t want to use the plot about dream warriors at all but would have rather focused on one guy dealing with this wide age range of ladies all sharing the same interest in one guy. Because, after it uses this plot device to bring everyone together the show disregards it goes on to focus on home life, school life, and everyone getting along as one happy family. The few episodes that do delv into the dream world are very rushed and really serve no other purpose than to show girls in scantily clad outfits that always get a second wind and wipe out the enemy in one fell swoop. Is this a bad thing? Well… no, but you can’t help but get the feeling that it’s tacked on somehow and almost comes across as pointless.
Yumeria is the type of anime where you really have to go into it not expecting much at all because that’s what you’ll get in return and with that mindset you may enjoy it more than you probably thought you would. It’s main plot about dream warriors and their challenge to save the Earth seems pushed aside and far from being the main focus as it’s group of girls seems like what the show wanted to spend more time on and it did to some degree. Unfortunately, this anime can’t seem to get it’s focus straight as to how it wants to present itself to the audience and falls back on trying to use cute girls to divert your attention away from it’s poorly told story and very loose ended characterization. And you know, it almost worked. In the end Yumeria is what it is and that’s fun… just good, stupid, fun… and nothing more. Now, if you’ll excuse me… I’m gonna go take a nap and see if I can pull a girl out of my dreams. Hey, why should only Tomokazu get to be so lucky?!?

Yo, Afro Samurai
Afro Samurai tries to blend American westerns with Japanese samurai mythos and a tale of revenge. The series looks good, it does after all have quite a budget (as having Samuel L. Jackson voicing the protagonist proves), but I felt it lacked depth. The series is comparatively short with only six episodes but I felt there was not enough content, even for such a small amount.
Robert L. Jackson plays the part of Afro Samurai, a man looking to avenge his father. In the center of the story is a contest for the strongest warrior of them all, called Number 1. The one who owns the title can only be challenged by Number 2, who anyone can try to kill. Both Number 1 and 2 are required to wear headbands signifying their status. In the beginning Afro Samurai’s father, who holds the title of Number 1, is challenged and killed by a mysterious Number 2. The tale of Afro Samurai is the age old one of revenge. When it comes to plot you can expect no surprises.
The style of Afro Samurai is very dark, almost completely black and white with occasional colors, especially in flashbacks from Afro’s youth. I found the bleakness of the animation and the purposefully ugly characters tiring. This may have something to do with Afro’s character as well. He hardly speaks at all, letting his companion do all the talking for him.
Samuel L. Jackson does a good job voicing Afro’s friend. The way he does it purposefully way over the top, which is sadly the case for the rest of the characters as well. For some reason almost everyone overacts in Afro Samurai. Especially some of the old men had me annoyed, mostly because they didn’t sound convincing. This might be something to do with how the characters have been written. Most of them are very flat and one-sided. None of them had my sympathy at any point, I just could not come to care about what happens to Afro or his friend.
As a good side, the action scenes are occasionally fun to watch. But the weakness of the characters and the clicheyed plot dropped the impact of the action as well. In the end I was happy the series only lasted for six episodes, and even they contained a lot of filler that didn’t really have anything to do with the plot. For me Afro Samurai felt like a trail of drudgery.
00P Second Season "File No.24 Base Sequence 0026"
00P Second Season “File No.24 Base Sequence 0026″
Just as a note, I only really keep up with 00P sporadically when something interesting and pertinent to them main series seems to come up so brace for egregious errors from not really knowing the context of what’s going on. Also I think this might be 1 Gundam:
Leonard and Delphine seek out CB (Grave) for their own personal objective, which they’ve changed making [Grave?] and ally. {oh my god why so illegal grammar, and in the very first sentence no less, you’re not supposed to be able to put two をs in a sentence! double を exclusion principle! ;A; is probably totally off}
When Leonard and co. head off to pursue their new objective, how many changes has CB undergone?
On that day, Tieria suddenly announced a mission: a supplemental test of Virtue Physical.
At the same time, Ian and co. were prohibited from entering the hangar where Exia, Dynames and Kyrios were stored.
Meister 874, upon going into space with Gundam Artemie,
“They’re here…”
2 suits appeared from the direction of the hangar.
There was no data on them in Veda.
Machines developed in absolute secrecy.
A particle beam attacks Artemie.
“Trial Field”
Meister 874’s eyes read it into the machine,
and it reached Veda via quantum correspondence*. {doesn’t say QBW, but iirc it’s basically the same thing} Then the enemy machines froze.
That’s why 874 sortied in Gundam Artemie.
However, before long the Trial Field was canceled.
The reason being that Tieria used the Trial Field.
The Trial System, which was used to prevent treachery, could only be used by certain Meisters, furthermore, it was created to be impossible to use it simultaneously.
As an armed-intervention Meister, Tieria possessed a higher rank than 874. And because Tieria used the Trial Field, Gundam Artemie’s field was canceled.
“Who are you?”
“Beside Pain” {lol, what a name}
In the image sent via optical communication* a young, green-haired man with the same DNA Base Pattern as Ribbons appeared. {*I forget exactly what this is in 00, but isn’t 光通信 usually light signals? like waving your hand in front of a flashlight to send a message in morse code, that kind of light signals? maybe lazars? :\}
(*he looks like Leif)
“By the way, my Veda registration number is 08368-SA846″
Beside’s correspondence continued.
“You {did something; no verb} to Grave!”
Exasperated, Meister 874 charges at the enemy while sending out 4 Bits.
Before that, another MS decloaked.
“The machine to succeed 0 Gundam, the Gundam developed by Veda for Innovators’ personal use: 1 Gundam”
*It’s written 1 but read “I/ai” {hrm, what an odd coincidence, the ED song of the first SE is “i (ai)”}
1 Gundam’s rifle goes through Gundam Artemie. {did whoever’s piloting it stab her with the rifle? or is that just an odd way to describe being shot through?}
Having been cornered, 874 sets up her/a gun.
To be continued next issue.
Next issue is the last installment. “File Final Friend”

[Voices from a Distant Star]
Thousand years and far away Far beyond the silky way You’re the shine that never blinks The shine that never dies.

FMA -brotherhood- 24: Inside the Belly
Wow… Episode 24 and it still making my adrenaline work overtime.
The battle continuous on (it’s been 3 episodes already when they have started) and it keeps getting better and better. Lots of fight, lots of revelation, and lots of plot twist. Recommended for ages 00 and above. Quick, if you guys haven’t started this show, start it now (except those who read the manga I guess…)

Meido Envy; I'm not a fav though
The episode started with Envy, bringing food to Dr. Marco in a room with some chimeras guarding it. Dr. Marco and Envy discussed what they will do to those ‘human sacrifices’. Dr. Marco guessed if they are going to use them to create the philosopher stone. Envy replied that his guessed is closed to what they are going to do.
Envy also revealed that (s)he heard from Lust that Dr. Marco decided to help the homunculus to save his beloved village. Envy continued ranting about how humans are so invulnerable
Episode Title
Symbolism. I bet this thing over here is a spoiler
Wrath’s Turn. The Fuhrer was walking alone outside the house where Wrath and his family walked before (gah… I forgot the episode). A voice talked to him, which he revealed to be Pride. Wrath replied that he is having fun to the way things are going: Which is all according the father’s plan.
Find Ed
"Fire bolt!"
The protagonists turn. Gluttony berserks, releasing a powerful blast of wind that destroys everything that is on its path. Roy tried to kill Gluttony with his fire alchemy but Gluttony just absorbed it. Gluttony starts attacking again. Roy and the Elric brothers run for their lives.
Nice quote Rie.
Diarrhea
The three went to separate ways. Gluttony chases Roy. Gluttony almost ate Roy but Riza came to the rescue and shoots Gluttony three times in the skull. Roy escaped for the moment. Roy began to feel the damage he took from Envy from the previous episodes.
Be serious in front of the camera
Ling arrived with Ran Fan to the car, with the doctor in it. Ling felt a presence from somewhere but ignores it for the meantime. Ling persuades the doctor to wait for the others.
Gluttony found Roy and attacks him. Unfortunately for him it is just a doll made of alchemy
Atleast he can blast fire while being wet at the first fma tv
The Main heroes of the day
+1 dead chibi
Everyone arrived at the car. Ling and the Elric Brothers (and the panda…) said that they will stay for the purpose of increasing their knowledge about the Homunculi. Roy wanted to join but it is objected by everyone. Ling asked to make Ran Fan safe. For safety, Riza gave her gun to Edward, which Edward accepted.
The three looks at Gluttony as he berserks. A black hound appeared to them, which revealed to be Envy. Envy ordered Gluttony to stop.
Ran Fan!!!!
Fight between the Elric brother were banned. Ed might lose his other arm
Just as he says
Time for him to run. He didn't run with Roy earlier
After hearing ‘chibi’ from Envy, Edward attacks Envy. Envy, however, is just fooling around. The three confronted the Homunculi. Envy scolded Gluttony that he can’t eat the Elric brothers, though it is okay to eat Ling instead. The Elric Brothers devised a plan; they separated Ling and Gluttony and confronted Gluttony. Envy confronted Ling
Just showing Wrath has a heart
Wrath’s turn. The Fuhrer is happily eating dinner together with his family. The Fuhrer’s wife boasted about Selim having the highest score on an essay about Selim’s father.
Upon Ling’s successful hit on Envy. Envy quickly changes his right arm into a snake and binds Ling. Having a huge advantage, Envy asked if Ling wanted to be cut, be strangle or bitten to death. Ling, however, kicks dirt unto Envy’s eyes and pulled out Envy’s snake arm. Envy was damaged severely.
OH NO! it's the master lock!!
come to think of it. Envy even copied the bondages
The Elric brothers tried to restrict Gluttony but they miserably failed. The walls blocking the two has been destroyed, letting the other team enter the other side. Ling is on the upper hand, but got stopped when Envy transformed into Ran Fan. Gluttony attacks from behind, but Edward interfered. Since Edward is an important sacrifice, Envy tried to save Edward. Unfortunately, all three of them (if you don’t count the half of Envy, that’s 2 1/2) disappeared.
Gluttony: huh.. yeah right
Alphonse confronted Gluttony, ordering him to spit out his brother. However, Gluttony replied that he cannot do that.
Dame da! your hair is in a mess, you are in no condition to go!
The other group rests at the doctor’s house. Ran Fan said that she wanted to help in Ling’s battle but was denied by the Doctor. Roy and Riza however, cannot stay for awhile, they decided to go to and search who is their opponent and allies.
They visited another higher official named Raven. Roy apologizes for not coming for introductory due to duties. Raven replied that he doesn’t mind. He asked if Grumman is doing. Roy replied that he’s doing fine.
That's Roy's 3rd failure of the day
Fourth one
Roy and Raven continued their conversation as they walk to the meeting hall. Roy asked Raven if he knew about the rumors that the Fuhrer is a homunculus. Raven just laughed at him. Upon reaching the room, he saw many high ranking officials. He discovers that all of them knew about the Fuhrer’s secret.
Find B-Rabbit quick! or is it D?
Edward woke up in a deserted area with red water below. He recognizes that the water is actually blood. He shouted, asking where the hell is he!?
_______________________________________
Nice episode. The plot is accelerating fast without any hints of slowing down. Not to mention the plot is very well constructed. Maes Hughes is shown on the flashback numerous times; it is really good to hear that he actually decoded everything before he got cut off in the show.
Now that someone mentioned that Ran Fan is voiced by Nana MIzuki, her moe factor rose up from 82% to 87%! I hope she’ll get well soon.
Next Episode:
Pretty Self Explanatory. Now I gotta wonder what will happen on the next episode…
That’s all for today’s episode. I hope you enjoy it as much as I do. And thank you for reading.

Autumn Anime 2009! (Part B)
Rest of the entries………feeling really lazy so this is about as much as I can be bothered writing
Kobato.Website: http://www.kobato.tv/top.html
Japanese Air Date: 6th October 2009
Animation Company: Madhouse Studios (Black Lagoon, Saiunkoku Monogatari)
Seiyuu: Kana Hanazawa, Tetsu Inada
Number of Episodes: 24
PV: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_fD6NEi_Czo
Adaptation of the manga by CLAMP.
Kobato is a young girl that for unknown reasons, needs to fill a mysterious bottle with the feelings of people with a heart in pain. For that she needs to “cure” other people’s hearts and make them happy, but this could become even more difficult than she thought. Her companion for this task is a grumpy plush dog she calls Ioryogi-san.
Yay CLAMP – so pretty! I haven’t been following the Kobato. manga, I generally prefer CLAMP’s seinen and shounen stuff to their shoujo stuff. I know that Kobato. will contain characters from Wish as both manga take place in the same universe, and I quite like Wish (it has flying bunnies and Trappy angels! ). I’ll be following this as if nothing else it will be pretty (plus I’ve heard Ioryogi-san is pretty awesome) – glad Madhouse have gotten this show, they seem to work best with CLAMPs character designs (yes I am still bitter about the Tsubasa Chronicle/Bee Train awfulness ).
Kimi ni TodokeWebsite: http://www.ntv.co.jp/kiminitodoke/
Japanese Air Date: 6th October 2009
Animation Company: Production I.G. (Eden of the East, Ghost in the Shell)
Seiyuu: Daisuke Namikawa, Mamiko Noto, Aya Hirano
Number of Episodes: 12
PV:
Adaptation of Karuho Shiina’s shoujo manga Kimi ni Todoke (Reaching You).
Sawako Kuronuma is the perfect heroine… for a horror movie. With her jet-black hair, sinister smile, and silent demeanor, she’s often mistaken for Sadako, the haunting character from Ringu. Unbeknownst to but a few, behind her scary facade is a very misunderstood teenager. Shy and pure of heart, she just wants to make friends. But when Kazehaya, the most popular boy in class, befriends her, she’s sure to make more than just that – she’s about to make some enemies, too!
Hmmm…..Sounds a touch like Yamato Nadeshiko Shichi Henge but with less blood, bishies and side-splitting comedy. The fact that Production IG is handling this, plus the excellent cast makes me want to check this out though – hope it isn’t as generic shoujo as it sounds and that Sawako has some of Sunako’s awesomeness (and maybe a knife! )
Fairy TailWebsite: http://www.tv-tokyo.co.jp/anime/fairytail/
Japanese Air Date: 12th October 2009
Animation Company: A-1 Pictures (Kannagi, Valkyria Chronicles), Satelight (Macross Frontier, Guin Saga)
Seiyuu: Aya Hirano, Tetsuya Kakihara, Rie Kugimiya, Sayaka Ohara,Yuuichi Nakamura
Number of Episodes:
PV:
Adaptation of Hiro Mashima’s (Rave Master) manga.
Lucy is a seventeen-year-old mage who really wants to do is join a guild – and not just any guild. She has her eyes set on Fairy Tail, a notoriously reckless and outrageous group of magic users who are likely to be drunk or destroying buildings and towns in the process of completing a job! While in town one day Lucy meets a motion-sick boy named Natsu who, through a series of events, reveals to her that he’s none other than the fire-eating mage Salamander of Fairy Tail! Lucy is finally able to join Fairy Tail and quickly begins to take on odd jobs with Natsu and his gang for fame and profit. Along with her fiery friend, Happy the flying cat, Natsu’s archrival Gray and their overseer the invincible and beautiful Ezra, Lucy sets forth for epic adventures that leave an epic amount of destruction in their wake. After all, destroying a city or five doesn’t matter as long as they get the job done… right?!
Now this is the 1st show on the list that I’m actually excited about! I’ve been following the Fairy Tail manga from about the release of chapter 30 (at time of writing its at chapter 152) and I’ve always said it would make a great anime. Its not the most original series and doesn’t have a lot of depth, but it is extremely entertaining and the characters are lots of fun. A-1 & Satelight are unusual choices to take on a traditional shounen series, but judging from the promo art on offer, they’ve done a good job with the character designs. There are some interesting choices in the cast list too, but some great names as well. Definitely watching this – hope it turns out well.
Website: http://anime-wintersonata.com/index.html
Japanese Air Date: 17th October 2009
Animation Company: Key East
Seiyuu: Bae Yong Jun, Choi Ji Woo
Number of Episodes: 26
PV: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=swDT1…eature=related
Adaptation of Winter Sonata (also known as Winter Love Song), the blockbuster 2002 Korean drama television series that helped launch the “Korean wave” of pop culture in Japan.
The drama follows two childhood friends — a boy and a girl — and the tragedy and angst that befalls them and those around them in the years between high school and young adulthood.
Well after much speculation, Winter Sonata is finally set an air date – I swear this series has been on my list every season for the past year only to have its air date repeatedly pushed back a season!
I’ve heard that this will have the original Korean actors reprising their roles for the anime, so I can only assume its airing as Korean audio with Japanese subs (no one seems to know for sure anywhere I’ve checked). Winter Sonata has been widely anticipated as the original K-Drama was a massive success…..I haven’t seen it myself. I’m expecting massive amounts of DORAMA and weepiness, and I’m actually quite looking forward to it – just hope its not too heavy or that could be difficult to watch.
Website: http://www.kuchu-buranko.com/
Japanese Air Date: 15th October 2009
Animation Company: Toei (Mononoke, One Piece)
Seiyuu:
Number of Episodes: 11
PV:
Adaptation of Hideo Okuda’s Kuuchuu Buranko (Trapeze) short story collection.
The collection is Okuda’s second book featuring the psychiatrist protagonist Ichirō Irabu and his various patients — the title refers to the first story about a circus artist who can no longer perform. In modern Japan, people visit “doctors of neurology,” rather than therapists. Dr. Irabu is an eccentric neurologist with an injection fetish, an Oedipus complex and a green Porsche, known for making patients much worse before they get better.
I can’t find a seiyuu list for this, but I know for sure I’ll be watching it! Look at the promo art and the summary – how could I not watch this!? Trapeze is the only series this season that truly looks and sounds original. I like psychological shows, and I enjoy unusual animation – Trapeze looks to have both so its going in the definitely watching pile – its promising that its from the same team who did Mononoke.

Japanese Air Date: October
Animation Company: Future Planet Co., Beijing Glorious Animation Co.
Seiyuu:
Number of Episodes: 52
PV:
A joint Chinese-Japanese adaptation of the classic novel depicting the tumultuous warring period of second-century China and the political intrigue between the different factions..
Um yeah. I can’t find much information on this at all. All I know is that it’s a joint effort with ‘Beijing Glorious Animation Co’ so I’m expecting it’s a bit of a propaganda wagon Still I’m interested in it – I’ve yet to watch or read The Romance of the Three Kingdoms although I am familiar with many of the characters as they tend to pop up in lots of shows.
Kaidan RestaurantWebsite: http://www.toei-anim.co.jp/tv/kaidan_restaurant/
Japanese Air Date: 13th October 2009
Animation Company: Toei (Dragon Ball Kai, Mononoke)
Seiyuu:
Number of Episodes:
PV:
TV series based on the best selling Kaidan Restaurant line of ghost story anthologies by Miyoko Matsutani & illustrators Yoshikazu Takai and Kumiko Kato.
Each episode will contain three short stories, an “appetizer,” “entree,” and “desert.” The first two “dishes” of each episode will depict the ghostly events that revolve around sixth-grade schoolgirl Ako Ozora. The closing chapter of each episode will be a ghost story told by Ako and her classmates.
Publisher Doshinsha has released over 50 volumes of the Kaiden Restaurant book series since 1996, selling over 7 million copies so far.
This looking interesting. I really like ghost stories and horror in general and Kaidan Restaurant seems to have an interesting style about it. I’d like to get a bit more information about it (like a PV and a cast list) before I decide anything – but think I may like this.
Hablando de Re-Ediciones.... Full Metal Alchemist
Now Listening : Teardrop- Massive Attack (House MD. OST)
Now watching: D.M.C.

Anime Saimoe Round 3- Groups A1 and B2
Results:
Group A1: Chiaki (Minami-ke) 477, Minna (SW) 394
Group B2: Isumi (HnG) 475, Nagi (Kannagi) 415
Chiaki and Isumi advances. Nagi is out as well as the series Kannagi. At least she got this far.
Next matches:
Pick: Utau Prediction: Yuuki
Pick: Kana Prediction: Fuuko
-
The first match is a tough one for me to side with, but Yuuki (Tacos) definitely will win here.
Second is easier for me to choose, but it will be tough to predict the winner. Fuuko was a quarterfinalist last year, but Kana has beaten Horo and last year’s runner-up Tsukasa (by the way, that runner up was the one who eliminated Fuuko). I hope Kana could continue her streak.

Guren Nishiki Royal Coating Version!!
“I won’t lose as long as I have the Gurren MK. II ( Makenai… Atashi no.. Gurren Nishiki nara!! ) ” Kallen Kouzuki – Code Geass Episode 10
Alright!! After 3 long weeks of waiting, Guren Nishiki Royal Coating Version is finally arrived.
Thanks to moncikoma-San from KG for getting me this from Japan (thank you very very much Bro!!)
For you who doesnt know yet, Guren Nishiki is a Knightframe ( in Gundam, it’s called mobile suit ) from Code Geass, the best anime series EVER!! ( Love it so much more than any Gundam Series ).
I personally think it’s the BEST design ever created for mecha, and this Guren Royal Coating Version from BANDAI is the BEST I’ve ever seen. There are other Guren Nishiki and they don’t look good as this neither do they offer many movement with the model kit, so I’d say this is DEFINITELY a must have for Code Geass lovers or Guren Nishiki lovers to be exact.
Word is limited, so the pictures will talk instead :
There’s a place for the cockpit and you get a small Kallen figure unpainted that you can put inside the cockpit. Absolutely COOL!!
It’s worth every penny for this model kit. If I’m not mistaken, there are two other Gurren MK. II, the price difference is not that much but the details and features are DEFINITELY a dissappointment compared to this.
It took a really long time to built it but it’s worth it…
I couldn’t image it’d look cooler than what I had in mind, with that said… now it’s time to wait for Guren MK. II SEITEN version

Hallado muerto Yoshito Usui, creador de 'Shin-Chan'
shinshan

Suzumiya Haruhi S2 - 13 & 14 [FINAL] (is that it?)
Suzumiya Haruhi S2 – 13
Suzumiya Haruhi S2 – 14
Impression: Episode – 13
Well, it was really entertaining to watch Mikuru endure the the abusing attitude of Haruhi but enough is enough. I’m really irritated with her attitude and I would really love if Kyon would have really hit her. It’s interesting to see how will this affect their world, if Kyon would hit Haruhi, would the world end or would she ‘delete’ the SOS brigade?
Enough with irritating stuff, Yuki was so interesting in this episode. She tackled Mikuru and then my Yuri alarm went crazy because of the scene where Yuki was over Asahina, damn it Kyon you should have recorded that. Like what Taniguchi said, Kyon and Haruhi had a lover’s quarrel and when they were about to kiss and make up, we saw a scene that Haruhi was holding her hair up and gave Kyon a cold shoulder. Then Kyon said, “Hey Haruhi, let’s make this movie a success!) then she regained her spirits. I have to again agree with Kyon, Haruhi is really simple minded but it was really cute.
Wow, this is the best episode of season two.
Episode 14
It was interesting to see how they’ve got Shamisen and the scene when Shamisen was talking and trying to stay on Yuki’s shoulder is really cute. LOL, you really can’t get tired of watching Yuki, she dodge those pressurized water and bit Mikuru, again. It was also interesting that this episode pointed out that Kyon should not trust any of the factions. Honestly when I’ve read that in the novel, I’ve began to distrust Mikuru and Koizumi even though Koizumi really looks suspicious even in the first season. I really think that it was clever for Kyon to suggest the disclaimer at the end of the movie.Btw, this is my 2nd favorite episode since episode 13 is much better.
Oh well, so that’s it for the 2nd season and it really seems that that the announced Disappearance arc had really disappeared. I’ve learned my lesson, I won’t trust any announcement from Kadokawa and I don’t know if I would be excited if ever there would be a 3rd season. I’m contented with reading the novel.
I hope KyoAni’s next project would be the 4th season of Full Metal Panic.
Final Impression: The last two episodes of this season two was the one that was able to salvage this series. Though I’m not a fan of The Sighs arc when I’ve read the novel, I was able to enjoy it mainly because of Yuki (well, you can’t get tired of watching Yuki tackle Mikuru) and the way that the writers cleverly written the last two episodes.
I don’t really think that I could consider this as a season 2 because it’s more like a side story. Actually the sighs arc and the bamboo leaf rhapsody episode is tolerable but what pisses me is the Endless Eight arc. What the heck? They’ve wasted 8 episode for a side story that is only around 40 pages.
In this season, it is guaranteed that you’ll hate Haruhi. She really has a bitchy attitude here and she doesn’t care about what other people feel. Honestly, I like Haruhi during the first season because she is one extraordinary girl who doesn’t like mediocrity. I really agree that the Sighs arc is not enjoyable than the other volumes in the novel but I think it’ll pays off eventually since all of the novels are connected.
There’s really a curse on sequels isn’t it. I’ve just read Catching Fire(which is a sequel of Hunger Games) and all I could say is the first book was way better just like the second Lord of the Rings novel. All I’m trying to say is there is a necessary development so that the next installment would be much better than the first and the second. If you’ve read the novel you’ll understand what I’m saying. Yuki won’t act that way on the Disappearance if the Sighs and even endless eight didn’t occur. I don’t know, I think I’m quite impressed with KyoAni’s actions becasue they had a guts to animate the Sighs arc even though the rage caused by Endless End would intensify more. I thought (and hoped) that they would immediately proceed to the Disappearance arc but…oh well maybe they are stupid.
Overall this is a very decent slice-of-life show with a twist of sci-fi. I doubt that this will be the last of this series but I expect more trolling from Kadokawa and Kyo-Ani. Good thing that the last two episodes was quite impressive or else I’ll rate this 6/10.
So my rating would be…. 7/10 (Good)
until then…

Anime
XXX Holic
I have been watching a lot of this since Manifest (as I brought the box set) I have only got one DVD left out of 6 and will be so sad when it comes an end.
No this is not porn this is an anime series, it’s about a guy, called Watanuki, who can see dark spirits, he feels that it is a curse and wishes they were gone. He one day come to find a shop run by a witch, the mysterious Yuko, who will grant your wish in exchange for a fee.
Watanuki arranges with her to be free of the spirits but in exchange he must work in her shop till she sees fit. I have been told that this anime is for girls but I can’t help it Yuko is sexy, mysterious and loves sake, mmm sake. I really like the storyline and every episode something new happens that gets Watanuki in a bind.
This anime is really imaginative and is one of my favourites, I give it 9 out of 10 Wasabi Gumballs.

WET...seems kinda dope
pretty much a bad ass chick voiced by eliza dusku, she drinks, shoots people in the face, and has a sword. pretty much when i played the demo it was pretty decent the in game graphics were of the 3d modeling seemed kinda eh on the bad guys but overall it seems dope. the modeling kinda reminded me of that true la crimes game. might wait too see it when it goes down to a cheaper price doesn’t look like it has a replay value like other games do (ie: online play and things like that). one problem is i hate the shit where you gotta press a button to do something and if you press the wrong one you die. other then that it was pretty good. i do hope this gets turned into a movie. its like quentin tarantino movie minus the douche factor that comes with his fans who think hes god.

Rising Anime Cartoons Popularity in The West
Right now, there is a constant rise in need for Japanese Anime cartoon downloads. Anime enthusiasts are on the top of searching the high quality vids from various web sites. Download websites therefore also growth. Due to this, the explore for the best download site becomes a little bit tricky.
Japan is the place where the Anime fad started. Actually, it is produced from Manga, a Japanese fashion of drawing. Anime is a Japanese call for the animation of Manga. Now, Anime are manipulated with the aid of computers. However, it was traditionally done manually by the hands.
The World Wide Web serves as the home for a lot of Japanese Anime videos downloads that claim of making the best deal. Even so, you should not instantly trust their suggestions. In Point Of Fact, there are just a small amount of sites that can give you the best downloads of outstanding video quality.
There are several guidelines that you need to reflect upon before you position your cursor over a link. The first decision to make is your choice between a pay web site and a free site. Always remember that a site without fee can only hold a very limited number of titles. You may also experience a higher risk of getting your machine infected by spyware and adware when you choose to settle for a free site.
Real Japanese Anime lovers will definitely settle for pay websites. Only pay sites can offer you the high quality of downloads that you are always searching for. Do not be afraid that it can not suite your budget because several sites holding Japanese Anime DVD downloads come in small costs. Another thing, files are usually safe and clean from pay sites because they always filter their contents.
When you eventually made up your mind and decided that a pay site is the right choice for Japanese Anime cartoon downloads, you should then decide if you will choose a pay once over a paid japanese cartoon download site. If you are planning to start a collection and to fulfill the avid fan in you, pay one time site is the right option. Paid movie sites are only good for one time viewers.
Pay once video download sites are perfect for the real big Anime lovers. It is the most efficient option if you are really planning to start a favorite collection. Pay sites can allow you to download Anime videos until you drop.
Although it can actually be tricky, do not leave yourself to fall into the hook of free videos download sites. Weight first the advantages and disadvantages of free sites against pay sites then you will realize that pay web sites are the best deals after all. Basing from my and my colleagues’ experiences, the best deal of Japanese Anime DVD downloads are mostly in pay once sites.
Nan Desu Kan 2009

Nan Desu Kan 2009 was a lot of fun this year! People seemed to follow the rules more this year than they did last year, although it still was a drag at times for the 25+ crowd. After having such a fun weekend, full of color and late night games and anime, it was hard coming back to the “real world” on Monday. At one point, I stood in the hotel Starbucks late one of the nights, waiting for D. and J. to buy some snacks and sit down. As I walked away from the two of them, I looked down at a New York Times newspaper and then out a glass window to my left, and there I could see all the crazy cosplayers and anime fans, and suddenly the world around me seemed totally surreal.
Well, anyway, Tommy Yune had a great panel on Comic and Manga Production. He showed us some industry tips for using Adobe Photoshop as well as some drawing and script writing advice and some great websites for getting manga fonts and printing your own comic books. He seemed like a very cool person to hang out with and was very inspiring. I think he has helped me to rekindle my wish to start drawing manga more regularly. I also went to one of the voice actors panel, and now whenever I hear Aaron Dismuke’s voice in an anime, I cannot help but think of a young, blond kid!

Of course, I also watched a lot of anime! My favorites this year were Spice and Wolf and Claymore. Karin was also good, but very strange, and I would not recommend it to new anime watchers. I am still enjoying the first season of Code Geass very much, and D. and I bought a Code Geass art book that mainly focuses on Clamp’s designs for all of the Code Geass characters. We also purchased a traditional Japanese wall scroll of a red koi. J. bought me a pocket-sized Domo kun plastic figure, and we bought him a Haruhi Suzumiya art book. Normally, we do not buy anything at the few conventions we have gone to, but this year, we decided that if we saw something that we liked and that we really found to be useful, we were allowed to spend a little money.
I myself am not a cosplayer and probably never will be, unless for some reason J. convinces me and I can come up with a really good costume. I do not think it is worth spending the time and money to make a bad cosplay costume. And let me tell you, I have seen some really bad costumes! People wearing hardly any clothing, people wearing tight clothing when they should not, costumes that do not look realistic at all, smelly costumes that have been worn for more than three days, and the list could go on! Even so, I did see some good costumes at Nan Desu Kan this year, which always make me smile!

*speechless*
I’ve got to start updating more often >.<
Sunday had an early start, grabbing the Tsukuba Express on its 45 minute journey straight into what I shall now dub “heaven” – a.k.a. Akihabara.
Where do I start?
We went straight from the station to (okay, a Starbucks, but after that) Kotobukiya, a famous shop in Akiba. It has 5 floors of pure awesome. We started from the bottom and worked our way upwards. I can’t think of any other way to describe it but in convention terms. The biggest con I’ve ever gone to is Ohayocon. If I took the dealer’s room from there and then multiplied it by 5, it might equal the sheer amount of otaku goods for sale, but would still probably come short. There were figures, keychains, toys, plushies, wallets, jewelry, bags, manga, photobooks, and even life sized figures. I’m sure I looked like a nut because my mouth kept gaping wide open (also because I was looking at the Kamen Rider stuff, but whatever.) There were so many figures, and the manga section was at least as big as the first floor of my house, if not bigger. I kept getting distracted by shiny things and didn’t even notice the time going by. I bought probably too much, but the vast bulk of my purchase was a new camera, which I shall upload pictures from tomorrow. Unfortunately, it only has Japanese installed on it, so I’m going to just have to learn as I go. It was a fairly good deal though, and with 12 megapixels, the quality is quite excellent.
We probably spent 2 or 3 hours just in that store alone. Laura wanted to leave to go somewhere else, (otaku overload, I think), though I would be happy to just explore Akiba for the rest of my life. Before we went though, I noticed that I recognized the area we were in. And then I found it. There’s a certain area in Akiba that has a small bridge over a river, which is right in front of the main drag. It is a major setting of the dramas Akihabara@DEEP and Densha Otoko, two of my favorite shows. I’d seen that place so many times, it was kinda weird seeing it in real life, because it felt like I’d been there before. I’ll post the pictures later, I’m sure other people will remember the place I’m talking about.
After a brief realization that we did not know what particular stop Tokyo Tower was at, and subsequent asking of the information desk, we got off the train at Hamasomethingorother. There was, and we had no idea of this until we got there, the Tokyo Pokemon Center there. Not like in the game where they heal your Pokemon, but a decently-sized retail shop of Pokemon goodies for every occasion. Laura bought the new game that had come out the previous day and I bought a Vulpix cell phone charm and a Mudkip figure (because I liek Mudkips).
It was about a 20 minute walk from there to Tokyo Tower. It’s a good thing it’s so recognizable because otherwise we might’ve gotten lost. Yes, I did the Kabuto hand gesture and there are pictures. We paid about 8 bucks to go up to the observation deck at sunset, which was incredibly pretty. There’s such an amazing view from up there. Next time for sure, we’re going to the upper deck which is about 100 or so more feet up. We took our first purika up there (ouch, 500 yen) which turned out pretty good, only we had no idea how it worked at first and there was a timer. >.> There are actually quite a few shops and such in the base of the tower, but Laura wanted to go to the Square Enix shop, so we decided to save them for another time.
To get to the Square Enix shop, we needed to go to Shinjuku and walk about 15 minutes, but the instructions said we could take the Keio line and get there with only a 5 minute walk. We decided for that, as neither of us really wanted to walk much more, but when we got off at Shibuya station, there wasn’t any apparent line change, so we decided to just stay in Shibuya for a while.
Wow. That is all I have to say. We saw the famous statue of Hachiko, and I had a minor geek out over the Shibuya 109 building, which we went in for a minute, but I felt too tragically un-hip (and un-rich) to continue looking over the clothes. The coolest part was probably the crosswalk, which runs through the entire intersection. Once the crosswalk sign is lit up, you may go across the street in any direction you want. Straight, sideways, backwards, diagonal, figure eight, it doesn’t matter, the whole intersection is your domain. The whole of it was just so big and bright and we couldn’t decide where to go. We ended up looking through the Adidas store quickly and then rummaging though 7 floors of Loft, which is the most awesome stationary store in the world. It makes Office Max look like a 7-11 in comparison. There are pens, paper, stickers, watches, jewelry, furniture, decorations, and all sorts of stuff that now I’m kinda wondering what they were doing in a stationary store.
After Shibuya we went back by train (about 30 minutes) to Akihabara. I sat next to this guy who struck up a conversation with me when he realized we were American. Apparently he’s a Navy guy from Texas stationed somewhere I don’t remember. He was interested to hear that we were from “the North.” I get the feeling he doesn’t see many Northern people in the Military.
Rushing back to the Tsukuba Express line (TX for short), Laura and I managed to figure out (okay, the instructions were in English, but it still counts as figuring out) how to get a PASMO card, which you load up with cash and then just swipe it Den-O style across the turnstile to ride the train. Again, minor geek out. Next time I’m totally saying “Henshin.”
Monday there was class. Fairly routine. Went out for curry that night, drank about 8 glasses of water because I ordered it a bit too spicy, and bought two donuts from Mister Donut. I was disappointed in the taste – I’m not buying a donut in Japan again… it tasted pretty bland and not like sugary fried dough at all. The local cats that hang out by the garbage house seem to now know it’s me that’s feeding them, so when I came back, they practically mobbed me for food. I left my donuts in the bike basket, so it’s a good thing when I came down to get them, I had the cat treats because one came within 6 inches of me because he knew I had food. They kinda settled a bit and chowed down after that. I’m calling them: Mommy (calico), Daddy (tabby), Orenji (orange kitten 1), Yuzu (orange kitten 2), Kahuda (tabby), and Mikkusu (weird calico/tabby sort of mix).
Today as well, it was pretty much routine class. I managed to make garlic and cucumber yogurt to put on the naan I bought, though through a misjudgement of how strong the garlic powder and fresh garlic clove I put in, it tastes so strongly of garlic I can feel my taste buds crying out in pain. Fortuntately, I love garlic, although I think it’s a judgment of how used I am to the flavor when I can still taste it in my mouth 4 hours after I’ve eaten it… I clearly need to eat this stuff before I go to the dentist.
Pictures tomorrow, after class.
Capitulo 1 : “ Dos Amantes Corazones“
———-Flash back———-
¡Plap!, ¡plap!
Jamas volveria a ver esa dulce sonrisa dedicada solo a él.
—— Fin del Flash back ——
- ¡Padre!
