Only a few more weeks left and the anime fall season will start. Back when I cast a first glance at the line-up for the 2009 fall season had thought it would be a slow season without much shows to watch or blog about.
Looking over the upcoming series again, saw that my initial impression was very wrong, quite a few series I’d like to follow and with Japanese class starting again might even be in a serious pinch for time to blog one or more of those series.
Will definitely watch “Kämpfer”, just from reading the synopsis anyone would instantly be sold at the first phrase where the male lead wakes up as a cute girl one day.
Based a series of light novels by Toshihiko Tsukiji which was already adapted into manga form by Yu Tachibana, “Kämpfer” will now also receive an anime adaptation. Have read most of the “Kämpfer” manga and this series could very well be a hit if it manages to balance the humor and action well.
Could roughly describe it as a cross of “Gacha Gacha” with battle situations not unlike “Sekirei”.
Was quite pleased with what I’ve read of the manga so far, so if the anime series proves to be that good, it will surely provide good entertainment.
The main lead Natsuru will be voiced by Marina Inoue, who also voiced Kana in “Minami-ke”, Yoko in “Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann” and surprisingly Wataru in “Hayate No Gotoku!”.
Really liked the first “Koihime†Musou” anime series, and while the “Koihime†Musou” OVA was an unfortunate viewing experience to quickly forget about, can’t wait to see what “Shin Koihime†Musou” will be like.
If it manages to capture that perfect mix of comedy and action from the first season, which not unlike “Strike Witches” was all about having fun and laughs when watching the female cast’s antics every episode.
Was instantly drawn to “Sasameki Koto”. Portrayed as a yuri series, it’s a must watch for me and since it takes place in a school setting like “Aoi Hana”, it no doubt features more day to day language, an ideal series to watch raw and blog about.
There’s a few sequels coming out, “Darker Than Black: Ryuusei No Gemini”, “Nogizaka Haruka no Himitsu: Purezza” and let’s not forget “Queen’s Blade ~Gyokuza No Tsugumono~”.
As I blogged the first “Queen’s Blade” season, feel compelled to cover this second season as well, always do all I can to finish things I started and someone must give this series a fair chance by granting it an objective review.
And that gives me a valid excuse to watch the show which will no doubt again degenerate into a poorly animated amalgam of scenes filled with unnecessary nudity.
Other series I plan on sampling are “Nyan Koi”, “Fuyu No Sonata” and “Seiken No Blacksmith”.
Most likely will blog “Sasameki Koto” and am thinking about adding either “Kampfer”, “Koihime Musou” or “Queen’s Blade ~Gyokuza No Tsugumono~” as well, though haven’t decide yet which of those I’ll blog if any as may choose to cut down to one series alone depending on the first episodes.
What will you be watching next anime season?
