Before I finally shelved the Shana theme files I wanted to make one final change; a start menu image that was appealing to my specific tastes – which are generally kimono’s. Searching around on Pixv I came across a really great modified version of one of Itou’s art book images. The original image is simply of Shana in her red Yukata with the crimson hair, the artist’s image I found used the same base image and added a background and some flame effects that you normally see when Shana transforms. Before archiving all the psd templates I wanted to put this one into the start menu, things didn’t go as easily as hoped for.
In the first theme I was able to create the start menu using true size parameters and force it no to try and stretch the image (which deforms it as it can only stretch vertically). After putting the image together and then compiling the theme all the dimensions got messed up. Despite explicitly defining the sizes for each portion of the menu it kept stretching the image. Later the menu decided to cooperate and was able to finish the theme:
You can download the update (and final) version here. It will most likely be the last modification(s) made to the theme unless I get some special requests; I’m happy with the final product and hopefully everyone else is that expressed their interest. Will still work on some more icons as good material surfaces, and am looking to possibly make a (Shana) themed boot and logon screen.
