HS x Hoshimittsu: Episode 1

Last night I asked myself a very important question: How does one go about reviewing a slice-of-life anime? Just pick your favorite scenes and make a few comments right? Seems simple, but when you think about it, it just seems like something is missing from that equation… Oh well, we’ll see how it goes. Though this is probably one of those series where you can skip the main post and just skip to the screenshots.

I get the feeling that this’ll just degenerate into me going on about how cute Yuno is… but is that in itself really a bad thing?

See, the only slice-of-life anime I really ever reviewed was GA and that was a full series review. I mean, it was educational so I could bring up some of those elements but Hidamari Sketch… Well, it’s art related but it’s a bit more loose in definition.

Maybe I’m just thinking too much about it… Anyways, first half of the episode was test related. Yuno failed a grammar test and got help for the retest. Passed it and yeah… Maybe it’s ’cause I just woke up…

Though first episode reviews are always rather difficult. That’s why I did what I did with the Baka to Test and OokamiKakushi reviews. Turn it into a lesson or something like that…. Oh yeah, introductions: Nazuna (left) and Nori (Right). The introduction was rather brief this episode so let’s look forward to the next episode~ (and hopefully a better review). Screenshot Gallery follows faithfully~

I’m actually not too sure if there’s a character limit for titles so I shortened it to “HS x Hoshimittsu”. Though I probably should’ve gone with “Hidamari Sketch x ☆☆☆” instead.

The style for this post was planned. I don’t tend to do things randomly. All those thoughts did occur to me though, so they needed to be said. I did realize one thing while writing this: I should work on style and execution….
